Jewellery Care

Cerrado Essence jewellery is handcrafted using natural materials such as Golden Grass, Buriti straw, 18k gold-plated components, and natural crystals and stones. With proper care, your piece will maintain its beauty over time.

General Care

Golden Grass is a natural, handwoven fibre. To preserve its shape, colour, and structure, jewellery should be handled with care and kept dry.

  • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, or exercising.
  • Avoid contact with water, perfumes, creams, sunscreen, and chemicals.
  • Put jewellery on last and remove it first.
  • Handle woven areas gently to avoid pulling or bending.

Caring for Golden Grass

Golden Grass is naturally lightweight and durable when cared for properly. Prolonged exposure to moisture, friction, or chemicals may affect its appearance over time. Natural variations and subtle changes are part of the organic character of the material.

Gold-Plated Components

Gold-plated details may naturally fade over time depending on wear and care. This is considered normal wear and not a manufacturing fault. To help preserve the finish, avoid moisture, sweat, and chemical exposure.

Natural Crystals & Stones

Natural stones may vary in colour, shape, and texture. Store pieces separately to avoid scratches and avoid impact with hard surfaces.

Cleaning

Clean your jewellery gently using a soft, dry cloth. Do not soak in water or use chemical cleaners, polishing cloths, or jewellery dips.

Storage

Store jewellery in a dry place, preferably in a pouch or jewellery box. Keep pieces separate to protect woven details and stone finishes.
